This year, I have made a commitment to focus on more self-awareness, self-care, and self-reflection. These intentions have naturally led me to think about how we, as mothers, express ourselves in various aspects of our lives, including how we present ourselves to the world. The clothes we wear are more than just fabric; they're an extension of our identity and an expression of our authentic selves.

Another game-changer for me in my self-care routine has been finding those key wardrobe pieces that make me feel amazing, that seamlessly adapt to my day from morning till night. For me, it's about choosing basics that are versatile, comfortable, and stylish - the investment pieces that become staples in my wardrobe, like high-waisted, compression black leggings over flashy, less practical options (like those purple tie-dye leggings that you tell yourself you’ll wear all the time).

When we are dressed in clothes that are both comfortable and stylish, it boosts our mood and confidence. It's the little things, like a chic bodysuit and a well-fitted blazer that make us feel empowered during a work meeting or comfortable leggings that let us play with our kids without restraint, that add up to make a big difference in our daily lives. This empowerment goes beyond just the physical comfort—it seeps into our interactions, enabling us to approach each day with positivity and grace.

I always recommend investing in pieces that fit into your wardrobe and make you feel great, like a neoprene blazer, perfect for rolling up and stashing in a yoga or gym bag. These pieces look incredibly professional and tailored, molding beautifully to your body. Here’s another great tip: find out if a double-breasted or single-breasted blazer works better on your body type and consider grabbing one that hits mid-thigh for extra coverage during those chilly outdoor events (like your teenager’s late night football game).

For moms on the go, keeping a small bag of athleisure essentials in your car or at work ensures you're prepared for any situation that might come up while you are out and about. When we're prepared and feel good in our own skin, it translates into kindness and positivity in our interactions, with our colleagues, our partners, our children, and even strangers we meet throughout our day.

What are those pieces in your wardrobe that make you feel confident and comfortable? I’d love to hear from you in the comments.

Always cheering you on, 🤍 Quinn
